What Is Walkathon?

The Vraj Walkathon is an Annual 5K held in Schuylkill Haven held in the Fall of each year to help bring together the local residents and the Vraj Community to unite as one large family! The event is organized by the Vraj Youth Outreach Team. Over the last 30 years, Vraj has stood strongly and proudly in Schuylkill Haven. We are blessed to be part of two great communities – within the temple as well as the surrounding area. The community has continued to show their mutual support and interest with Vraj by attending annual events such as our Easter Eggstravaganza & Walkathon. We want to continue to grow and solidify our bond as the years go on and continue to support our community.

Over the past few Walkathons, Vraj was able to successfully donate all proceeds to local charities and organizations. These beneficiaries include: Schuylkill Haven Fire Dept., Schuylkill Haven EMS, Schuylkill Haven High School, Schuylkill Haven Food Pantry, Summit Station Fire Co., Friedensburg Fire Company, Schuylkill Haven Recreation Dept., MADD, Blue Mountain High School, and Wayne Township Recreation Department.
